Fall Color in the Eastern Sierra's
Fall in the eastern Sierra is a magical time with mountainsides full of glowing yellow aspens reflected in lakes and rivers. Days will start before sunrise and end after sunset with time set aside for night photography. Available time in the evenings and mid-day will be given over to photo critiques and discussions of photographic topics of interest to the group. One day will be spent exploring Mono Lake and Bodie Ghost Town State Historical Park. Other days we’ll drive to the best fall color spots and thoroughly explore them. The town of Lee Vining will be our base of operation for the first three days. Then we’ll move south to Bishop and explore the canyons and lakes around Bishop to find the best fall color. A side trip to the White Mountains and the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest is possible weather permitting. Be ready to photograph some of the most beautiful spots in California and the eastern Sierra's.
Workshop begins October 1, 2017 in Lee Vining, California. The workshop will move to Bishop, California on Wednesday October 4, 2017.
